Do you like to play old video games on your new or old machine? Here is the chance! In the digital world, in the 2010s years a new trend has come along to the mind of the people. This trend asks you: did you like to play games in the 1990s? If your answer is yes, then I’m sure you can guess what this trend is about. It is about playing old games on your PC or console. Many companies have brought back games from the past and has ported or redesigned them to be played nowadays. This has also happened with Mega Man, a game that has been known by many people. Capcom has announced that they are planning to release the video game on several platforms in a form or a Legacy Collection.
The Mega Man Legacy Collection
Have you ever wondered why big video game designer companies are releasing games again and again in the future that has been already released like 10 years ago? They are doing this because it is a great business for them. Just imagine that you have released a game in 1995 and you are re-releasing it in 2015. You only have to re-design and rewrap some minor functions and graphics. No need to do anything about the game just some minor changes. This is really a great deal for them since they only have to spend like 1000-2000 dollars at most for an old game to be optimized and redesigned and they can sell it for 10-20 dollars. And, believe me, many people will buy it. They will have like 10000-1000000 sales and they will cut huge profits from it. Why do people buy these games if they can just download them from old sites for free? Because of one thing: people are lazy. Just check out what music do they listen to? The ones that are on the front page of YouTube or Spotify. They don’t want to search for artists or genres that they don’t know because they would have to listen to whole songs from the beginning to the ending, which would cost them tons of time. They may found their style if they would have searched for “unknown music”, however, they have chosen the easier way. That’s just the way they buy the old re-released games. They don’t want to go to the website of the original developer and manually install the games, they just buy it instead of Steam for 10 bucks.
The Mega Man Legacy Collection will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, XBOX One and for the Nintendo 3DS. Capcom instead of developing a new Mega Man game is selling the older ones in a package. The Mega Man Legacy Collection will cost 15 dollars and is coming at the end of this summer. If you really want to play the games until then (that are in the collection), just search for them in Google!
