A new phone is now available for preorder in the HTC 10, and since the previous versions were so high-performance and praised by critics, we can only hope this one will live up to expectations. Sometimes, though, the HTC phones don’t include enough exclusive features for us to choose it over Apple for instance, so we’re interested in seeing if that’s fixed as well.
The HTC 10 seems to be a phone made for everybody, without specializing too much in one area. For instance, those looking for an extraordinary camera might want to look elsewhere, and those looking to get their hands on the coolest features to show their friends might be disappointed a little. When you pre-order, be aware that the HTC 10 is the kind of phone that you need to explore and appreciate with time, probably after it has become part of your daily routine. The HTC seems to be the phone that brings it back to basics every year and that manages to nonetheless impress with the latest technology. The HTC 10 is indeed expensive, sometimes more than its competitors, but overall it does deliver for the price. In terms of specifications, the processor and graphics card are all top-notch, but the battery could definitely have been bigger. Especially matched with some quick-charging time, a big battery would’ve been a big thing to boast about when going on the road.
A great phone with a few issues and things missing
The HTC 10 could then be given a mark of around 8.5/10 since while it is a great phone, it couldn’t really align everything that was impressive about the M9, the best of today’s technology and interesting features. A few features probably wouldn’t change the score so much, but it would’ve hurt either to see something new. The issue with the speakers is probably what’s hurting it the most when it comes to the people making an upgrade. The HTC 10 is indeed ready to upgrade itself for the competition, and it does have a familiar look to the iPhone for those looking for an alternative at Android, but paying such a high price for an upgrade doesn’t fit everyone. To make the perfect phone, the company probably would need to think more about what the consumer is wanting to get and willing to give for it.
In conclusion, what’s missing on the HTC 10 is probably the good speakers the M9 had. In terms of exclusives, the HTC 10 doesn’t necessarily have a ton of features, and now with the powerful speakers on the front of the phone replaced by more standard ones, there’s a loss in quality and the loss of perhaps the only exclusive there had to brag about on the previous version. Aside from that, the phone is as powerful as ever and features enough improvements to compete with the rest of what’s on the market. The body of the phone feels satisfying in the hand and is worth the upgrade, while the latest programs and applications will work flawlessly on some of the best hardware out there.
High-end for Professionals
The phone is probably made for those looking for something that’s high-end and ready to use as a very professional phone. Photos are great, although perhaps not the best out there. The look is very business-friendly and will make a great companion on the road. Still, though, you can bring it on an adventure with some quick-charging ability. If you’re the kind of person that forgets to charge their phone in the worst moments, the HTC 10 can provide you the power quickly with a quick charge. It has happened to all of us to wish that our phone not only had good battery capacity (which the HTC 10 offers pretty well compared to the competition) but also one that can do the work in most stressful situations. This can come in handy for business as well if you need it to take notes or for a presentation. The large screen and great handling will make it an impressive phone to carry all year, so a pre-order will be in the sight of many people.
