Light Reading Announces Big Telecomm Event BTE 2015

As it was announced on July 17th, 2014 by the online community for the world’s communications sector (Light Reading) the annual Big Telecom Event of 2015 will take place in Chicago. The BTE will give the world and the industry an insight to cutting edge technology. The event will also demonstrate to telecom executives all the wonderful things planned for near future. The BTE event returns to Chicago and will be held on June 9-10 this very year at McCormick Place.

The event will show a combination of presentations and unrivaled mix of panels which are of course interactive. All of the presentations will be hosted and created by Heavy Reading’s industry analyst which will showcase floor demonstrations of networking tech and opportunities related to targeted networking. This year’s event will showcase software defined networking, cloud services, small cell architectures, network functions virtualization, next-generation communications network planning, mobile network security and big data analytics.

However, that’s not all. The BTE will also introduce three completely new areas which will become a new focus. Those three areas include Gigabit Cities, utilities communications and IoT.

Stephen Saunders

According to the Founder and CEO of Light Reading, Stephen Saunders, the industry welcomed the last year’s BTE. He also added, that because this year’s BTE got plenty of space, the demo hall presenting applications and technologies is going to triple in size. Stephen Saunders also mentioned that they are also expanding their conference program and will have pre-event workshops and four tracks to offer this tame. They will also keep on recruiting prestigious speakers from sector leaders that will shed some new light on crucial trends driving the future of the sector. The main goal of this year’s BTE is to provide the audience with all the intelligence they need to monetize next-generation networks.

The telecom community will be entertained by a soccer tournament between the teams from telecom company, and Light Reading will also organize a contest; the Battle of the Bands. It is expected the event to take on more than 1500 attendants from all over the globe. 60% of the attendants are service providers, who also attended the last year’s BTE. There will be plenty opportunities for sponsorship and speaking.

Light Reading seeks opportunities where they can combine its research-led online communities and events that are targeted to make a difference and help those in world’s communications sector to make better decisions. Light Reading can boast about having an audience that goes far over 350.000 subscribers, who find their work admirable and helpful in many ways. They produce targeted communications events, and they base on one-day conferences that take place once a year. They focus on mobile, cable and wireline executives across the world.

Let’s just go back to few years, and recall the year of 2000, when Light Reading had to fight with just one new technology, the optical networking. However, today there are over a dozen new technologies that lurk around to change the world. Executives and service providers now have a more important job than just to live through this historic time within the industry. They are the ones who have to define it.

BTE will bring together industry via leaders to talk about the complete telecom surroundings. There will be many speakers at the event, who are specialists in their segment. Some of those speakers are Jared Wray, Andre Fuetsch, Axel Clauberg, Jim Poole, Jack Waters, Dr. Diego R. Lopez and many others.

Without a doubt, this is a historic era for the telecom industry. Operators and service producer executives are challenged to define the industry, and that’s no simple assignment. Providers of services are investing in their networks in an unseen manner. They are expected to make holistic networking strategies which will be in charge of creating a balance between financial metrics, network requirements, and service proficiencies.

TBE will offer two tracks, the Data Center Interconnect Summit, and the Video Summit. It will also cover a whole pallet if opportunities, such as pre-event workshops which will take place one day prior to the event itself, June 8th.

The event will also cover topics such as the Internet of Things, next-gen data, network security and more.
