Planetside 2 Ready to Launch in June for The Playstation 4

Do you know the game PlanetSide 2? I’m not sure if most of the readers of this article do know or do not know the game, so let me introduce it in a short introductory part. PlanetSide 2 is a video game that is currently only available for PC gamers at the moment, the game is a massive multiplayer first person shooter (MMOFPS). This means that tons of people are shooting each other online. There are also MMORPGs like World of Warcraft, the only difference between the two genres is that massive multiplayer online first person shooters do not have elements from RPGs and the action takes part in “once piece”.

Now, that I have introduced you the game PlanetSide 2, let’s see what this article is about. Great news for PlayStation 4 users since the game that they have waited for so long will be released for the PS4 on 23 June 2015. So, it is confirmed that PlanetSide 2 will be released for the PlayStation 4 that day by the company!

Planetside 2 Release Date and the Biggest Battle of Gaming History

So, the game PlanetSide 2 has got a PS4 release date of 23 June. However, how do the PS4 blog markets the game for its users? They have to introduce the video game for many people since not all PlayStation 4 players know the game. If we see the announcement by Sony on its blog, the company is talking about the huge Guinness Record achievement that has been made in-game in PlanetSide 2. This was the record of most players online fighting against each other on one server. There was an event that has been made by the players of the game where they have organized the biggest battle of PC and console gaming history where 1158 (!) players were battling each other. A quite impressive number I must say. Even WOW or other MMO games couldn’t make a number bigger than that. Since in massive multiplayer online roleplaying games it would be pretty easy to make such huge battles, since in those games the graphics are not that impressive and they have been tweaked in order to not have any lag. However, in PlanetSide 2 the graphics are much better and the servers could have several lags during the battle. I’m sure there have been lags, however, those were minimal. PlanetSide 2 is a great game that has been designed well. The game’s genre, however, is not the most popular one. You don’t see many massive multiplayer online first person shooters in the gaming industry, do you?

I say PlanetSide 2 has done pretty well for itself in making a lag-free game with great elements that has not been “dumbed down” such as in other massive multiplayer online games. PlanetSide 2 has even achieved a Guinness World Record by letting players battle each other in the biggest battle of gaming history where 1158 users have participated. Now, the only thing that we are waiting for is for the game to be released for PlayStation 4 users to play.
